Many American citizens are denied access to our Courts and denied their basic constitutional rights because their language is Sign Language and so many in authority within this country refuse to acknowledge the chosen or acceptable language of the deaf. It is time for this practice to end, and it is time we hold officials accountable for denying the proper access for deaf citizens in our courts, prison programs, etc..
