there are way to many non-violent offenders behind bars doing lengthy sentences while prosecutors make plea deals with murderers and rapists to get light sentences so they have a good conviction rate. my daughter did almost 5 years in federal prison for a conspiracy charge that actually her boyfriend was the distributor who only got 2 years got out violated 3 times and is still out doing the same thing while she sits in a county jail on a violation now waiting to go to court because while she was in prison she filed a speedy trail motion and the Stafford County Prosecutor would not answer it, she could have been home 20 months ago after completing the residential drug treatment program, ged, pre release classes, and internship in two career courses, now she is being charged for medicine ( an inhaler ) that she brought with her to the facility from the other facility. These prosecutors are abusing their power for their own reasons, why do I say this this one said he was going to prosecute my daughter to the fullest on a 5 year old probation violation that was not a major violation it stemmed from her getting in trouble behind her boyfriends crap. Her boyfriend sold drugs and in order to get off blamed others and this kid even stole guns and sold them and only got 2 years. hows that for justice?
